Objetivo General
mediante el desarrollo de un portfolio de soluciones con la misma tipología estructural y sistemas de fondeo innovadores, así como sistemas y estrategias disruptivas para la mitigación de las cargas no lineales e impulsivas sobre la estructura, resultando en un abanico de diseños óptimos y compatibles con la variabilidad climática y morfológica de las diferentes cuencas oceánicas objetivo.

Objetivos Socio–Económicos y Ambientales
Fortalecimiento de capacidades de distinto ámbito de las entidades que forman el consorcio
Tecnológicas: incremento de experiencia en soluciones eólicas flotantes y sus sistemas asociados y, en especial, de la tecnología tipo barcaza/semisumergible, permitiendo saber cómo de idónea es para diferentes emplazamientos.
De investigación y formación: incremento de conocimiento y de capacidad de investigación derivada de los resultados que se alcancen, dando la posibilidad de atraer talento y de colaborar con diferentes empresas y centros de investigación en futuros proyectos.
Creación de futuros puestos de trabajo de alta cualificación
mediante la formación de nuevo personal en metodologías numéricas, experimentales y de análisis técnico-económico, que sin duda son de gran interés en el sector empresarial/industrial.
Desarrollo de nuevas tecnologías amigables con el medioambiente
que sin duda contribuirán tanto al tejido energético nacional, como internacional, al cumplimiento de los objetivos del Acuerdo de París.
Objetivos Estratégico-Comerciales
Posicionamiento internacional de SEAPLACE
como ingeniería de vanguardia referente en el desarrollo de soluciones eólicas flotantes rentables y producibles en serie.
Consolidar internacionalmente a IHCantabria
como un referente en la investigación de la energía eólica flotante mediante el desarrollo de investigación orientada a mercado y, por lo tanto, creando un inmejorable entorno para la transferencia tecnológica OPI-Empresa que contribuya a la consolidación de la investigación española como un referente internacional en este campo.
Impulsar internacionalmente a LADICIM
como un referente en la ciencia de los materiales y, en particular, en el ámbito de los hormigones mediante el desarrollo de nuevo conocimiento orientado a mercado de la mano de empresas como SEAPLACE que facilitan la transferencia tecnológica OPI-Empresa, consolidando a la universidad española como un referente internacional.
